1.) Shri Mahalakshmi temple :
Mahalakshmi temple is also known as Dakshin Kashi which is one of the Shakti peethas committed to Goddess Mahalakshmi.
In fact it is one of the peethas among the six of them wherein people from all over the world come to fulfil their needs.
It’s started that it was built-in 700 AD.
The 3-ft tall black stone idol of the goddess is worn with the aid of using valuable gems which weighs around 40 kgs.

In this museum, some of their clothes and weapons are kept which can be the reason for re-visiting this place.
Their is also an entry fee which costs ₹ 18 for adult and ₹ 12 for children.

Jyotiba is considered to be the incarnation (i.e avatar) of Lord Shiva, and one of the main avatar of Lord Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh.
Each year on the two full moon days (i.e on Vaishakh and Chaitra) a big carnival is held every year.
Which attracts the locals and the people to pay equal importance and get travelled to Kolhapur.
4.) Rankala Lake :
Rankala Lake dates back to the 19th century and was constructed by the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Beyond it’s one among the oldest lakes in India.
It’s a serene spot, filled with greenery and cool breezes, ideal for witnessing a soulful sunset.
The lake has derived its name from the Rankabhairav temple, an ancient temple which is constructed in the middle of the lake.
Hence this place is the one of the the favourite tourist attractions for fun and adventure activities like horse riding and boating.

6.) Panhala Fort :
Widely known as Panhalgad.
It was bulit in 13th Century by Raja Bhoja II.
The Panhala Fort is one among the foremost massive forts within the Deccan land, with its perimeter stretching to 15 kilometers.
And therefore the fort stands at an altitude of over 2,700 feet above water level .
Several underground tunnels run from under the forts, many of which are quite long over a kilometer too.
The biggest attractions of the fort are the Teen Darwaza, Amber Khana, Sajja Kothi, Dharma Kothi, along side several temples etc.
But no wonder, it is one among the special places be visited in Kolhapur.
